When you regain conscious after getting rick rolled, the initial cursing will be inevitable, following that, it’s when the English idiom “once bitten, twice shy” suspense in your brain space.

During the meetings for Adventure Quest 2008 with George, it was pleasant to know him better, and gosh, his word of advices for me were priceless.

Let me give you a brief introduction to who George Koh actually is. He’s my two year senior, was leading me both in the Boys Brigade and Student Council. Did his A Levels in Saint Andrew Junior College (SAJC), scoring four straight A grades. Went on for enlistment and became an army officer. He’s currently studying in Singapore Management University (SMU), taking a degree in Business Management, majoring in Finance.

Basically and personally, i feel that he has everything, the cash, intelligence, academic results, style, looks, height, built, dimples, achievements, character, and everything else that a decent girl would require. I better make myself clear, i’m not in love with him and definitely straighter than a ruler.

Apparently, after secondary school, he has remained single and extremely eligible, which left me absolutely puzzled. I mean, what’s wrong with the female community? Have they lost their sight or playing the plain hard to get warfare?

Once again, i looked myself in the mirror and did a honest overall self reflection cum feedback. I find myself with lesser achievements, lesser credibility, lesser positive points and definitely placing me on a downfall as compared to him. How now?

I’ve remained single all these while after secondary school, and these time being single opened up my eyes towards this relationship fabrication. On this field of love, experience count is going to be extremely critical. With one look and the addition of your basic intuition, you’re going to know if he/she is interested, playing mind games, out of your league, a total waste of your youth, a player or simply rick rolling you.

For me, there were definitely moments of heartaches and headaches, having to reject, get rejected, cheated, played type of scenarios. I’ve became mentally stronger than yesterday, more on the ball, being well able to deal with what you throw me.

My polytechnic life have ended after heading to Adelaide and embarrassingly, it was rather a bore for that aspect, and here comes army which is definitely going to rob me of all my possessions. Being categorized in PES A, means i’m combat fit and there won’t be any eight to five vocation eligible for me, causing a disconnection from my social life, so let’s just put the female community issues aside huh. On self consolation, at least i know i won’t have any overbearing commitments, lights out, literally means lights out.

I’m left with the actual tertiary studies to scout for someone, and i’m definitely going to trust and obey, because there’s no other way.

For your information, i’m not desperate or emotional okay, i just happened to think about who i am, where i stand and what i want during the journey to work today. Oh oh, and i’m happy with my life in case you think i’m suicide prone.

Mark my words. When it comes, it comes, no point trying too hard, because no one’s going to print you a certification of commendation. However if you already have a target in life, like some of my friends which i don’t think it’s wise to mention here, please have the courage to fight for what you want, and don’t live life with regrets.

Anyhow, “people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”, perhaps i’ll master that by then, applies to you too David.
